Cheap Car Insurance Companies

Cheap Car Insurance Companies

Who hasn’t looked for the cheapest auto insurance company when searching for a new policy? Americans all over the country hope to stumble across the insurer that is going to provide great insurance at the absolute least inexpensive price possible. So the popular question is what is the cheapest auto insurance company? Unfortunately for all of those drivers who have been dedicated in their search, there is no one auto insurer that has been deemed the cheapest and we’ll explain why. But don’t despair! You can still get a great policy at an inexpensive price. It will just take some know-how and a few minutes.

The first step is to use the tool that we provide. It’s a great tool, and no one should search for a new car insurance policy without using it. “What is it? What does this great tool accomplish?” Glad you asked. Our tool will give you the ability to compare a number of quotes provided by different carriers by filling out one easy survey. The survey really is easy and quick because all of it revolves around you, the driver, and the car you wish to insure.

It starts when you enter in your local zip code in the appropriate box on our page. From there, you will need to provide accurate information as we ask things like age, gender, driving history, home residence, and details about your vehicle such as the year, make, model, and estimated miles driven. All of this information will help determine the rates you will pay and the quotes that will be given to you. The tool we provide is operated by a third party company that has developed a good standing relationship with insurers. They are able to make sure each customer gets the lowest price possible to insure their vehicle.

When you have finished entering in your information on our survey, you will then be provided with a list of at least four quotes from reputable companies. The companies are all local, and if you haven’t heard of them before we suggest doing some research on all of the companies that have provided you with quotes. We have more information within our site on how to research these companies, but we’ll go over it quickly here.

Knowing what you want from your insurer is important. If you don’t know what you want, you could wind up with something you don’t like, even though you’re using the cheapest insurance company. Think about things like customer service and how the company allows their agents to perform. Are they understaffed? Do you wait on the phone forever while trying to get information? Do the representatives have manners and treat you with respect? Also, the ability a company has to pay out claims should be considered. How long will they be around? How many days will it take them to pay for the accident? Are they having financial problems? These are only a few ideas to contemplate when choosing your company.

There are a few third party, non-biased companies who evaluate the performance of car insurance companies. They all have Websites that are easily accessed where consumers can find out more about the company in questions. JP Power reviews the insurer’s policy offerings, pricing, billing and payment, the ease of contacting the insurer, and other consumer’s overall experience in working with the company. Each category can receive up to five marks (five being the best). AM Best is another company that evaluates insurance companies, but they focus more on the financial status of the company. They give out grades — much like schools do — to each company. Any company with a rating of a “B+” or higher is considered “Secure” while anything lower deems it to be “Vulnerable.” This research can help when choosing between two or more companies who are offering the same (or close to) prices for a policy.

You might wonder why insurers charge different rates for the same policy. There are a few explanations that we will share with you. You must understand first that insurers only make a profit when they have more money coming into the company than going out. They pay all of their bills, claims, and their employees and then must have something remaining to be considered profitable. If a company begins to pay out more claims than usual and the amount they are paying has increased, they need to offset this by charging their customers more to increase the money coming in. This helps them continue to make a profit despite the higher number of claims filed and paid. The opposite is true as well; when companies aren’t paying out a high number of claims they can afford to keep their rates low for their customers.

Insurance providers also change the rates of their customers individually depending on their most recent policy period. If the driver has demonstrated a lack in safe driving by receiving tickets, accidents, or points on their record, their insurance premium will increase. Any time a driver files a claim, their insurance will definitely increase because the amount of profit the insurer has made has decreased compared to if the driver had not filed a claim. Remember, the company needs to have more money coming in than going out. A customer’s rates will stay the same or slightly decrease when they have demonstrated safe driving within the previous policy periods by not filing any claims or gaining any points on their record.

Also keep in mind that the price of your policy is determined by how much coverage you purchase. Automobile insurance companies will usually offer a variety of choices, but make sure you are getting the exact coverage you want. Compare the policy you desire among a number of companies to find the cheapest insurance company that will suit you best and don’t rely only on the cheapest policy price you find. You’ll want to make sure that in the time of an accident you have the best coverage possible that you can afford.

Again, we offer our comparison tool to everyone at no charge, and there is no obligation to purchase any of the policies either. However, if you find the policy that’s perfect for you, we do invite you to purchase it instantly online. We make finding cheap auto insurance companies easy so anyone can find them and make the most of their savings.

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker Game

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker Game

The game is essentially an isometric beat-em-up, although Jackson attacks with magic powers instead of physical contact, and has the ability to shoot magic power at enemies instead of getting close enough for a melee attack. A map of the stage is shown before it begins, and after which, Jackson must get from the start to the end without losing all his health, rescuing all the children and defeating all the enemies along the way.
The game can also be played multiplayer; if the cabinet supports it, up to three people can play simultaneously. All three players play as Jackson, dressed in his suit from the "Smooth Criminal" music video. The first player wears a white suit and hat, with a blue shirt; the second player's character dons a scarlet outfit with a black shirt; the third player's character is dressed in black, with a red shirt. The characters all have armbands: red for black outfit, black for red outfit, and blue for white outfit.
Dance Magic: Arguably the most memorable feature, Sega takes the concept of the "smart bomb" or "screen zapper" and changes it to the form of dancing, in a special attack termed "Dance Magic". Once activated, a heavenly spotlight shines on the player, and the player starts to dance several of the high-energy moves that have become Jackson's hallmarks. All of the standard enemies - henchmen, gangsters, guards, robots - start dancing with the player and are destroyed at the end of the dance routine (ostensibly because they cannot keep up with Jackson's dance moves). However, bosses do not dance, but do take a significant amount of damage. Any captive children on-screen at the time Dance Magic is activated are not harmed. There are three different dance routines that may be performed, and the player starts with one to three of these attacks per credit (depending on how the machine is set up).
Bubbles: Part of the peculiarity of this game comes from this unusual power-up. Bubbles the chimpanzee, Michael's real-life pet, appears in each level. Once collected or rescued, the chimp transforms Michael into a robotic version of the pop singer that has the ability to shoot laser bursts and absorb significantly more damage.
[edit]Levels
1. Cavern: This level resembles a subterranean hideout and consists of long corridors with blue doors periodically. It starts with Mr. Big taunting Michael. The enemies consist of suit-wearing henchmen and small robotic mobile gun emplacements. There is no boss.
Background music – "Bad"
2. Amusement Quarter: This level takes place in a nightclub and highly resembles the first level from the console version. Additionally, half of the level takes place outside on a street during daytime. The enemies consist of suit-wearing henchmen, and soldiers. The bosses for this level are two mobile robotic gun emplacements.
Background music – "Smooth Criminal"
3. Night Street: This level is very similar to the outdoor half of the Amusement Quarter, but takes place at night. The gangsters and soldiers again make their appearance in this level, but are joined by many more robots. There are robots that hide under manholes, large conspicuous-looking AT-ST-like robots, and shirtless men who control armored dobermans. Mr. Big confronts Michael in this level, in the form of a laser-shooting hovercraft surrounded by eight floating laser pods.
Background music – "Beat It"
4. Graveyard: In an almost complete departure in theme, this level takes place and has all the common elements of a horror movie graveyard. Enemies consist mostly of zombies and ghosts. The boss is yet another Mr. Big contraption; a large stationary three-tubed ghost generator.
Background music – "Another Part of Me", although one would logically think that "Thriller" would be more appropriate given the setting of the level. However, Thriller is used as the music for the Dance Magic attack in that level.
5. Evil Fortress: This level takes place on Mr. Big's fortress on the moon, where he is preparing to fire a large laser cannon. Almost the entire level takes place on a rising elevator, where wave after wave of enemies appear. The last boss is Mr. Big piloting a large mechanical spider.
Background music – a reprise of "Bad"

Publisher: DrDaating.com | PDF | 26 pages | 1 MB

Introduction
Why should you try online dating? Well if you’re a woman who’s heard the same tired chat up lines more times than you’ve been out with a decent guy, or you’re going to go crazy if you date another guy who promises you the moon but fails to deliver - then the Internet may be just what you need. It gives you the opportunity to explore a huge variety of guys – many of them who are also looking for a partner – in an anonymous situation without any strings attached. There’s no physical contact, there’s no need to dress up, there’s not even a need to be in a certain place at a specific time – you just find the people you’re interested in and contact them.

Who dates online? Women and men who are tired of familiar faces, and not finding the right person in their locality. Women and men who work or are raising a family single handed and just don’t have the time or the energy to go out onto the dating scene. And of course, women and men who are looking for that special someone, and just haven’t found them through traditional means and now are turning to technology to help them in their search.

FreeZ Online TV 1.10

While we love the idea of free TV (who doesn't?), it never seems to be quite what we hoped. FreeZ Online TV is no exception. The channel selection is unimpressive and user guidance is nonexistent.

The most confusing things about the program are the links that appear on the initial screen when the program is opened. We mistakenly believed they might provide more guidance for the program but instead directed us to two different sites promising free online TV. Both require additional downloads, and weren't related to FreeZ Online TV.

That said, once we explored those two false leads, the program itself proved fairly easy to operate, although disappointing in its outcomes. A standard viewing screen sits next to a file tree with 16 main categories, including News, Entertainment, and Weather. Within each category are at least a half dozen channel choices, but many are not in English. Simply click one and it begins playing. The typical media controls to stop, start, pause, etc., become visible at the bottom of the screen as the content buffers. What you won't find are any guides to the channels, which seem randomly selected from various countries around the world. All you get are the call letters (like WSTV) or largely unrecognizable names like NOS Journaal. We also found that many of the listed channels didn't play at all. There are no user settings, so you can't delete or add your own channels, and no Help file or other user guidance is available.

During installation, a box is pre-checked that will add the FreeZ Online TV Toolbar, so be sure to uncheck this if you don't want this little extra. Or, better yet, skip the download altogether and avoid not only the toolbar but this unimpressive program as well.

Kids Think Eyeglasses Make Other Kids Look Smart

Young children tend to think that other kids with glasses look smarter than kids who don't wear glasses, according to a new study.

By InteractiveDad.com

Posted: May 14, 2008

(iDad) - Young children tend to think that other kids with glasses look smarter than kids who don't wear glasses, according to a new study.

Children between the ages of 6 and 10 who were surveyed for the study also thought that kids wearing glasses looked more honest than children who don't wear glasses.

Otherwise, the survey suggested that children don't tend to judge the attractiveness of their peers who wear glasses when asked about their appearance, potential as a playmate or likely athletic abilities.

The findings might give children some comfort when they are fitted with their first pair of eyeglasses, said lead study author Jeffrey Walline, assistant professor of optometry at Ohio State University.

"If the impression of looking smarter will appeal to a child, I would use that information and tell the child it is based on research," Walline said. "Most kids getting glasses for the first time are sensitive about how they're going to look. Some kids simply refuse to wear glasses because they think they'll look ugly."

The study is published in the May issue of the journal Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics.

Walline surveyed children in this age range because they are more likely to be prescribed eyeglasses than contact lenses. Generally, children with nearsightedness are diagnosed with myopia and receive their first corrective lenses at around age 8. Teen-agers were not surveyed because they are routinely fitted with contact lenses if they want them.

For the study, Walline and colleagues assembled a series of 24 pairs of pictures of children for comparison. The children in each pair differed by gender and ethnicity, and each pair included one child with glasses and one child without glasses.

Eighty young children – 42 girls and 38 boys – were surveyed. Of those, 30 kids (38 percent) wore glasses, 34 had at least one sibling with glasses and almost two-thirds had at least one parent who wore glasses.

The questionnaire featured six questions, many based on similar studies in adults. When presented with each pair of photos, the participants were asked which of the two children pictured: would you rather play with; looks smarter; looks better at playing sports; do you think is better looking; looks more shy; and looks more honest?

On average, two thirds of the participating children said they thought that kids wearing glasses looked smarter than kids not wearing glasses. And 57 percent of the participants said they thought kids with glasses appeared to be more honest. Both kids with and without glasses thought other kids wearing glasses looked smarter.

Walline said the findings suggest that media portrayals associating spectacles with intelligence may be reinforcing a stereotype that even young children accept.

In the case of the other four questions in the survey, the answers were not consistent enough to suggest that glasses made a difference in how the kids felt about the pictures they were examining.

Other trends emerged, however, that had nothing to do with whether the kids in the pictures were wearing glasses and which supported conventional wisdom about kids' opinions. Both boys and girls said they thought that boys appeared to be better at playing sports. Boys indicated they would rather play with boys, and girls said they would prefer playing with girls. Both boys and girls thought the opposite gender looked more shy. Girls also were more likely than boys to pick their own gender when asked which child looked more honest.

The fact that the question of attractiveness yielded no significantly different answers for children with or without glasses suggests that kids don't automatically consider kids with glasses to be unattractive, Walline said.

"The concern about attractiveness with glasses seems to be more internal to a particular child rather than an indicator of how they'll feel about other people who wear glasses," Walline said.

(iDad) - The chances of being harassed or sexually solicited online increases when young people interact with others via instant messaging and chat rooms. These forums may encourage impulsive and risk-taking behavior. The July 2008 issue of the Harvard Mental Health Letter describes several risky electronic arenas and offers tips to help keep kids safe.

Instant Messaging: This technology enables people to send text messages back and forth instantaneously while using computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices. It appears to put young people at risk for both bullying and sexual solicitation.

Chat rooms: These online forums enable people to exchange text messages, engage in virtual conversations, and post images. Researchers think that chat rooms pose risks for sexual solicitation and victimization not only because these venues enable participants to communicate directly and privately, but also because some sites encourage the use of obscene language and sexual talk.

Social networking sites: Sites such as Facebook or MySpace allow people to create personal profiles and communicate online. Researchers have found these sites are not as risky as other online interactions such as instant messaging and chat rooms.

Dr. Michael Miller, editor in chief of the Harvard Mental Health Letter, suggests that to protect young people online you need to focus on the children’s online behavior rather than the technology:

• Be aware of what children are doing online and to whom they are talking.
• Keep the computer in a family area.
• Stay engaged as children get older.
• Help teenagers learn how to keep themselves safe.

To prevent sexual victimization, educate young people about the dangers of online interactions. You can say that it is all right to have sexual feelings, but not to broadcast them online.
